Work

A lot of things went well for me today although reductions were done quite early again today, there were also two of us in so a lot of the pressure was taken off of me. Lee Taylor finally taught me how to do ATC which all in all was quite simple, it took a mornings worth of pestering though! Then as Dave was on late night and it was Richards day off when he came in it became clear that we were going to be merchandising meat this afternoon. Although Dave did quite a bit durning my break, I was able to work through rumble to get a lot of the mods done, i think Dave was impressed. Hopefully a turning point as I showed I was serious by asking him to do me a PDP in a 1 to 1, hopefully this will happen before the end of the week.

Although reductions were done very early, it left me with very little to do for the remainder of the day, as the shop was not busy. Richard took this oportunity to put out new lines on meat, which i felt could have been a great challenge for me. Therefore i decided to work with Julie to get all the other new lines out as well as cubing them. I felt a bit pushed out today as Richard had just got there before me with everything that needed doing. Wereas i felt doing it myself would have been a good challenge for me, is Dave going to put Richard ahead of me for al the challenging jobs?
Also i realise things are soon to be starting to change with the running of the department, but with the deaprtment morale being so low how will it affect the relations between the staff especially Sandra, I realise Dave's just trying to make the department his own and improve it along the way, however Sandra sees it as it works as it is - why change it? only time will tell....
